THE HEALTHY HOME DESIGN GUIDE
Jo-Anne Hitchcock
H Architecture
My goal with every home I design is to make it healthy, sustainable, adaptable and most of all, a joy to live in. So, it has been a pleasure to collaborate with like minded people on this Design Guide.
We all brought different points of view and strengths to the table, but had a common goal of wanting better housing outcomes for all New Zealanders.

“I’m passionate about sustainability and believe building healthier, more efficient homes is an important part of creating a better brighter future for our communities. Right now we need to address our climate emergency and changing the way we live is good for our people, our communities, New Zealand and for our planet that needs us to care”.

"At Beacon Pathway we have long been committed to using research and demonstration projects to show New Zealand how our homes can be warmer, drier, healthier, cost less to run, be adaptable for the future, and use fewer resources. Over the years it has been great collaborating with the Superhome Movement from events to tours of Super houses. This guide is yet another great example of shared knowledge that will help to promote a holistic view of whole house sustainability”.
